Blog 8 Non Fiction Book

I just finished reading this book and my favorite chapter "Why." because it tells me why people do it and even though it hurts them they still do it anyway. Its because they either see there friends do it or they smoke and get addicted to it fast cigarets have nicotine in them that makes them get addicted quicker smoking can lead to heart problems and breathing problems it will make it hard for them because it will make them get tired faster this book was interesting and it can teach you a lot from why you should not smoke because its not worth it. It puts your life in danger.

Drugs.

            I am reading Nicotine and Caffeine.  This is a non fiction book about How it gets you addicted and what makes it so bad for peopleThe chapters in the book include why and The first smoke.  I chose this book because It looks interesting. So far, I have learned. That this is considered a drug and that it only takes one smoke to getting addicted to it.  I am interested to find out about Why they still sell it if they know its bad for people. Questions that I have are does it affect you when you run?

My book is about everyday drugs that are used that people dont really consider as one because they dont know what its doing to there bodies. Nicotine is put into cigarets its the reason why people get so addicted to smoking them. Caffeine is little did everyone know but it is a drug it as well has things in it that make you so tempted to drink it.  Smoking slowly messes up your body and when the body gives you signs that you dont want to smoke anymore because it does not like it people disobey they signs that are being told. They think they are alright and thats the first phase. When smoking you cant just stop when you feel like it because then the body is already gotten used to it so it will you get the affect that you will need to smoke since the body has adjusted.

Personal Goal/Adademic

My personal goal is to a better relationship with my mom. Because me and her are not what you would call close. I think I would have to control my anger more and argue less. But I would also have to get rid of my attitude toward her because me and her argue over little things but I can admit that its most of the time my fault because she tells me that it gets her mad when I have an attitude. Maybe I should start having more talks with her about what happens in my life because sometimes when I see her down she will tell me about what happened if I decide to ask. I will know i accomplished this goal when my mom starts talking to me more. And starts telling me that I’ve improved.

I think my academic goal is to start staying after school more to improve my grades and make my family proud. I would have to talk to the teachers personally about being more harder on me.. and pushing me to limits and setting goals that will help me get threw the rest of 8th grade. I know that this is a big step because I get mad really fast and I attend to give up really quick so I want to change and stop doing that. I will know I’ve done that when my grades are up and I can go with out talking back. I just want to be able to prove everybody that doubted me wrong.

Number Of The Stars

This book is about a Danish family how like Copenhagen during the times of the World War 2. Annemarie has a friend named Ellen is Jewish and Ellen's family is endanger because they are Jewish. The Johansen Annemarie's family is going to help the Rosons family. They are going to keep Ellen secretly in there house with the family and pretend she is the older sister. So far there has been solders that went there to check there apartment to find Rosens  family but they got away with it because there plan worked. Now the mom and the girl went to the uncles house in the county to get away from everything but they left the dad because they think it will look suspicion.

As I was reading I found a memory moment when the mom and Annemarie remember when she use to live out there in the county she said "My Aunt Gitte lived there, in the house...she always had wonder flowers in her garden." and Annemarie had a memory moment from when she remember when her family used to always enjoy there company and laugh and have a good time but now its all different because she said "But there was a difference. In the earlier times, she had always overheard laughter. Tonight there was no laughter at all."

Number The Stars

 Think People Were Bystanders During The Holocaust Because They Were Afraid Of What Mite Have Happened To Them If They Did Stand Up And Try To Do Something About It. If This Was Me I Know I Would Have Been An Up Stander Because, If I Saw Something Like This Happening I Would At Least Do My Best And Try To Do Something About It Instead Of Just Letting The Problems Add Up I Would Of Solved Them Before It Was Already To Late Because The More You Let Little Things Add Up They Don't Continue To Be Little Things Anymore They Pile Up Problem After Problem And Only Get Worse.

Poem And Article .

I think that the poem was more serious than the article because in the poem the boy tells about his feelings its sad because the boy doest even have much hope he loses it a lot of the time and just for gets who is because of the job he has to do when he was working he got so lost in his work that he thought of his self as a machine and its not like he could have just quit his job because then he would have been killed most likely.

When your reading a article it mostly just tells you facts about what happened and how there rights are being broken you cant really notice how the workers feel because it doest tell you it just gives you information about what happens and in an article it does tell you how workers were treated but it doest exactly explain how they feel about how they get treated an how there rights are being broken and stuff.

Summer Of Secrets Summary

In the book Summer of Secrets its about a hole bunch of different characters theres drama between everyone but like so far Darcy has a younger sister her name is Tarah and she was sexually harassed by her ex boy friend. But then Tarah meets this other boy an Darcy doest like the idea because she thinks that she is only 14 years old and after what happened to her she thinks its not right. And then the mom is starting to act really different and Darcy is scared because she thinks its because the mom and dad keep arguing. She's afraid that the dad is going to leave because Tarah looks up to her father and one time the dad left and when Tarah got harassed the dad was there and basically helped her so ever since the Tarah new that her dad would always protect her. And Darcy was just worried that if her dad left it would change Tarah because the first time the dad left Tarah was really depressed. I like this book a lot it has a lot of drama and its easier and I can read it really well its not to hard to easy its just right and the story is interesting.
